MEET JENNY

Jenny’s diverse athletic background has been a vital stepping stone in her growth as a Physiotherapist. While pursuing her Bachelor of Kinesiology at SFU, Jenny was involved in varsity soccer and cross-country running. She then put school on hold while pursuing competitive road cycling alongside working as a Kinesiologist, where she created active rehabilitation programs which aimed to correct muscular imbalances contributing to a variety of chronic conditions.

After competing in various road races across North America and Europe, Jenny returned to school to complete her Master of Physical Therapy at UBC. She has since completed post-graduate education in orthopedic manual therapy, neuro-rehabilitation, clinical pilates, trigger point dry needling, advanced vestibular rehabilitation and treatment of the cervical spine, and is a certified Level II Shift Concussion Management provider. Jenny is also experienced in clinical bike fitting.

In practice, Jenny emphasizes the importance of correcting biomechanical faults and postural dysfunction to optimize functional movement patterns, and thus, performance in life and in sport. She is passionate about injury prevention through sport-specific conditioning and enjoys merging her bike racing background and clinical expertise to work with endurance athletes. So, whether it be making it to the top step of a podium or working through pain that limits your everyday activities, Jenny will work with you to achieve your goals.

If she’s not in the clinic, you’re likely to find her in the trails mountain biking, running, ski touring and cross-country skiing.
